Abstract

This paper discusses the current risk assessment tool for risk assessing registered sex offenders, known as Actie Risk Management System (ARMS). This paper provides a data set from VISOR to show the characteristics of the current offenders that are currently subject to VISOR and discusses how these characteristics provide an evidence base for moving some offenders from 'active' management to 'reactive' management.
