Abstract

Contemporary satire is a powerful and influential genre that continues to captivate audiences and inspire critical thinking; its relevance in today's world cannot be overstated. I use my infinite imagination to describe the failings of humankind. The subject matter is drawn from my own auto ethnographic life experiences, and the absurd dysfunctional episodes within both multinational, multicultural histories, and contemporary colonial west sociocultural absurdities. To create pictorial tension and to strengthen the narrative, I employ a high degree of colour saturation which deliberately breaks traditional colour theory to trigger psychological discomfort, highlight narrative tension, and shatter realism.
