Matthew Stables

After many years in industry, Matt began his academic career in 1999 as a mature student, graduating with BSc Environmental Science from Lancaster University. Research interests led to a PhD in System Identification and Automated Control, quickly followed by post graduate research posts in varied fields from Particle Accelerator Physics to Marine Energy development. Dr Stables joined the School of Engineering at UCLan in 2012 pursuing further interests in Renewable Energy with the post of Project Engineer for a multi-million pound UCLan/ERDF project promoting renewable energy to small and medium sized businesses in the North West UK.
